Subaru Motors Finance now offers a Foreign Resident Program. This program provides foreign residents with a work visa to finance or lease a new Subaru vehicle on their own.

Program Requirements
- Maximum Loan Term - Retail term is not to exceed the end date of the applicant's employment contract, expiration date of visa or 60 months, whichever is less. For leases, maximum term is not to exceed the applicant's employment contract or 48 months, whichever is less.
Customer Requirements
- Signed Employment Contract from Employer - Contract must contain signature of employee (applicant), employer, salary, starting and ending dates of employment. The end date of employment contract must be later than the end date of the loan or lease term.
- Verification of Employment - Subaru Motors Finance must be able to verify employment with the employer stated in the employment contract. Application should provide West Houston Subaru with the name and phone number of Human Resources contact.
- Signed Housing Agreement/Proof of Residence - Signed lease/rental agreement or mortgage note required. If employer provides housing for the applicant, written proof (i.e., contract) must be supplied. Agreement/note must include starting date, ending date and monthly payment required.
- Visa - Each applicant must have a valid visa with an expiration date beyond the end date of the loan or lease term. The visa must be one of the following types:
H-1B: For professionals with a minimum equivalent of a U.S. Bachelors Degree.
H-3: For temporary trainee transfers to receive training from an employer. J-1: Exchange trainee visa to gain work experience and training in his/her field.
L: Inter-company transferees.
L-1: Intra-company transfer (usually for 1 year; must check expiration)
O: For people of extraordinary ability in the arts, athletics, sciences, education and business.
E-1 & E-2: Treaty Investors/Traders.
E-3: For Australian citizens working in the U.S. in a specialty occupation.
TN: Trade-NAFTA Professional worker
NOTE: This program specifically excludes visa types A and G, representatives of foreign
government and H-2B for temporary work.
