2023 Subaru Outback Updates

  • Rugged Style: All 2023 Outback models (except the already rugged Wilderness) get a new front fascia with aggressive bumper sculpting, a larger hexagonal grille, updated protective cladding, and redesigned lighting clusters.

  • Better Safety Tech: Subaru has improved its innovative EyeSight® driver-assist system to operate more smoothly in a broader range of conditions. The system features updated control software, a wider field of view for the cameras, and an electric brake booster.

  • Cable-Free Connectivity: Currently, every trim but the base comes standard with an 11.6-inch high-res STARLINK® Multimedia touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. 2023 models with the 11.6-inch display will include wireless smartphone integration for more convenient, clutter-free access to features like hands-free calling, Google and Apple Maps, streaming media, and more.

  • New Trim: Outback's 'XT' trim levels equip a more powerful 2.4-liter turbo-four BOXER engine. Previously, the stylish, dark-themed Onyx Edition was only available in the XT variant. For 2023, the Onyx Edition has been made available with the standard engine, allowing drivers to enjoy the trim's style and features at a lower price point. Onyx Edition equips black-finish 18-inch alloy wheels, exterior elements, and badging, plus water-repellant StarTex upholstery, a hands-free liftgate, a 180-degree Front View Monitor, and dual-function X-MODE.
